Dear Students, Families, Faculty, Staff, and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are returning to Noble Local or joining our district for the first time, I am excited to welcome you to another year filled with opportunity, growth, and purpose.
As I reflect on what makes Noble Local School District so special, I continue to come back to two simple words that have become part of who we are: Noble Impact.
To me, Noble Impact is much more than a phrase. It is a commitment.
It is the commitment our teachers make every day to inspire curiosity and challenge students to reach their full potential. It is the dedication of our bus drivers, cafeteria staff, custodians, aides, secretaries, maintenance, administrators, coaches, and countless others whose work often happens behind the scenes but has a lasting influence on the lives of children. It is the partnership of our parents and families who reinforce the importance of education at home. And perhaps most importantly, it is reflected in our students, whose character, perseverance, and compassion remind us every day why our work matters.
Every interaction has the potential to leave a lasting impression. Every encouraging word, every lesson taught, every problem solved, and every relationship built creates a Noble Impact.
Over the past several years, our district has experienced incredible momentum. Together, we have earned national recognition for innovation in STEM education, expanded opportunities for students, strengthened academic achievement, and continued investing in facilities that will serve our community for generations. These accomplishments are a source of pride, but they are not our destination. They are simply the foundation upon which we continue to build.
This year, we will continue preparing students not only for success in school, but for success in life. Through engaging instruction, innovative learning experiences, career exploration, and meaningful relationships, we remain committed to ensuring every graduate is prepared to be Enrolled, Employed, or Enlisted—equipped with the knowledge, skills, character, and resilience necessary to thrive in whatever path they choose.
At Noble Local, we believe education is about creating opportunities. Through our continued focus on STEM learning, career pathways, student leadership, and community partnerships, we will continue to provide experiences that allow our students to discover their strengths, pursue their passions, and develop the confidence needed to make a positive impact wherever life takes them.
As construction concludes on our new academic wing at Shenandoah High School and we continue planning for future growth across our district, we are reminded that our greatest investment has never been in buildings alone. Our greatest investment is, and always will be, the people inside them.
Our district spans nearly 289 square miles, yet our schools remain the heart of Noble County. They are places where students discover their passions, educators change lives, families find support, and communities come together around a common purpose. That sense of connection is one of our greatest strengths and one that we will continue to nurture for generations to come.
This school year marks a personal milestone for me as I begin my 30th year serving Noble Local School District and my fourth year as Superintendent. I have been blessed to serve this incredible district in many different roles throughout my career, and while my title has changed over the years, my purpose has remained exactly the same.
Every role has reinforced one simple truth: education is about creating opportunities. Whether I was working directly with students in a school building or now serving our entire district, my commitment has never wavered. I will continue working tirelessly alongside our outstanding faculty, staff, Board of Education, families, and community to ensure every student has opportunities to succeed and the tools necessary to make a Noble Impact—no matter where life takes them.
I also believe that Noble Impact is measured by more than what we accomplish. It is measured by how we serve others and whether we leave things better than we found them. If each of us commits to leaving every classroom, every relationship, every opportunity, and every corner of our district better than we found it, there is no limit to what we can achieve together. That is the legacy we should strive to build—not only for today's students, but for every generation that follows.
Thank you for the trust you place in our schools and for your continued partnership in educating the next generation of leaders. I am honored to serve this remarkable district and grateful to work alongside people who care so deeply about our students and our community.
